‘블루 작가’ 김태균은 2004년부터 파란 바다와 하늘 사진을 찍어왔습니다. 강원도 고성군 대진 앞바다를 오랫동안 필름카메라로 촬영해온 김태균은 무보정 원본 이미지에 담긴 바다의 푸른빛을 선보입니다. 달이 뜬 바다, 눈이 내리는 바다, 밤바다 등 시시각각 변하는 바다와 파도, 수평선, 달 등을 렌즈에 담은 김태균의 작업은 언뜻 보면 블루라는 이름으로 하나가 되고 짙은 감정을 담아내어 파란 물감으로 칠한 회화 작업 같이 보이기도 합니다. 어두운 바다 속 깊은 곳에 존재하는 순수한 블루에 새벽의 하늘, 자연의 색이 어우러져 다양한 형태와 질감, 감정을 드러내고 새로운 색을 만들어 냅니다.
“Blue” artist Kim Tae-gyun has been photographing the blue sea and sky since 2004. Working for many years with a film camera in front of the sea at Daejin, Goseong County, Gangwon Province, Kim presents the pure blue of the ocean captured in unedited, original images. His work—featuring the sea under a rising moon, snow-covered waters, night seas, and the ever-changing waves, horizons, and moon—can at first glance appear unified under the name “Blue” and evokes a depth of emotion, resembling a painting brushed with blue paint.
The pure blue that exists in the depths of the dark sea blends with the early morning sky and the colors of nature, revealing diverse forms, textures, and emotions, and creating entirely new shades of color.
