이가진은 전통 청자를 현대적으로 재해석하는 작품을 선보입니다. 미니멀리즘의 현대적 디자인의 작업은 우리나라의 전통에 기반을 두었지만 현대의 기술과 디자인을 과감히 수용합니다. 물방울을 확대한 듯한 조형미와 파스텔 톤의 잔잔하고 화사한 청 그린 컬러는 주변을 환히 밝힙니다. 백토로 조형한 하얀 바탕에 푸른색 유약을 여러 차례 겹쳐 발라 산뜻하고 깊이가 느껴지는 색을 표현합니다. 이가진만의 깊고 청아한 푸름이 드러나는 고유한 방식은 빛의 미묘한 변화와 깊이, 물질적 심상을 담아냅니다. 최근 작업에서는 소재와 양식에 대한 고정관념을 넘나들고 있어 새로운 미적 가능성을 제시하고 있습니다.

Lee Kajin presents works that reinterpret traditional Korean celadon in a contemporary way. Her minimalist, modern designs are rooted in Korean tradition while boldly embracing contemporary techniques and design sensibilities. The sculptural beauty, reminiscent of magnified water droplets, and the soft, luminous celadon-green pastel tones brighten the surrounding space. On a white body crafted from porcelain clay, multiple layers of blue glaze are applied to create a fresh color with a sense of depth. Lee Kajin’s unique approach reveals a profound and pure blue, capturing subtle shifts of light, depth, and material perception. Her recent works transcend conventional ideas of material and form, opening up new aesthetic possibilities.
